Dairy Industry “The Complete Solution”

Central California – A new high capacity Dairy was being started in central California. The dairy would milk 10,000 cows when it reached its full capacities. The need for a complete solution to all the water needs was a critical element in the overall plan.

Pacific Northwest – A small barley farmer was currently using a fixed speed pump to provide irrigation water to his acreage. The pump was started using across the line voltage. During startup the pump motor drew up to 4 times it’s normal running current. Mitchell Lewis & Staver Co. was brought in to access the situation and provide a more economical and reliable mean of providing water.

Food Processing

Eastern Oregon – A world leading producer of processed onions and onion products faced a unique challenge for reclaiming plant water. The plant water contained not only onion skins and pieces, but whole onions as well. The water was collected in an on-site well, approximately 10’x10’x15’. Water collection occurs 24 hours per day. Pumps were needed that could handle not only the amount of solids in the form of skins and pieces, but their actual size as well, up to 6” in diameter.
