Three Wisconsin Wastewater Treatment Facilities Improve Efficiency and Save Energy with Danfoss Drives
Saving energy was the top priority for three different wastewater treatment facilities, Clintonville, Silver Lake, and Glenbeulah, when purchasing new equipment. All three chose The Danfoss VLT 8000 AQUA Variable Frequency Drive because it maintains oxygen levels at the appropriate rates needed to save energy. It does so by operating the plant’s disc aerators, which provide dissolved oxygen to the treatment system. This allows the drive to match the aerator’s output to demand for dissolved oxygen, ultimately saving energy and money.
Clients are currently raving over the energy efficiency and performance of the Danfoss drive: “The Danfoss products are a much more intelligent solution than the older technology,” said Joe Jodarski, superintendent of Silver Lake’s wastewater treatment plan. “They’re reliable, and they do the job really well.”
